On the January 15 broadcast of SBS PowerFM’s 2 O’Clock Escape Cultwo Show (hereafter referred to as Cultwo Show), Dynamic Duo and Gummy appeared as guests in the “Special Invitation” corner, with Kwak Beom as the special DJ.
Dynamic Duo and Gummy’s first collaboration song, “Take Care,” will be released today (the 15th) at 6 PM through various online music sites. “Take Care” is a breakup song that calmly wishes each party well-being and happiness. Dynamic Duo’s Gaeko, Choi Ja, and Gummy directly participated in writing the lyrics.
When Kim Tae Gyun predicted that the song would top music charts, Gummy stated, “We don’t have any greed for rankings, so we don’t think about it at all these days. Our goal is simply the happiness of those who listen to this music.”
When Gaeko said, “We’re actually familiar with this genre. It seems like Gummy has been working on songs with this kind of atmosphere for a while,” Gummy responded, “It’s not a genre I haven’t done before, but I’ve been working on ballads and OSTs for a while, so young people these days might not know that I’ve done this genre.”
Afterward, “Take Care” was premiered for the first time. When a netizen suggested that a children’s song collaboration by the three would be a good idea, the DJs remarked, “Since all three of us have children, children’s songs could work.”
Gummy then shared, “We sing children’s songs every day. Our child will have a recital in February. It’s emotional when we sing this song. There’s a part that goes, ‘I love you more than anyone in the world.’ The lyrics are, ‘I love my mom who wakes me up every morning and kisses me on the cheek,’ and it’s so moving—it makes me cry.”
Meanwhile, Gummy married actor Jo Jung Suk in October 2018 after dating for five years. They have a daughter, Yewon, born in 2020.
