Group g.o.d member and actor Yoon Kye-sang recently shared a heartfelt message with his fans.
On December 16th, Yoon Kye-sang posted on Instagram, addressing concerns about the use of cameras during his recent fan meeting.
He wrote, "It’s nothing more than the cameras used during the performance and the videos currently circulating on YouTube and Instagram. In fact, I wanted to be closer to the fans during this fan meeting. To do that, I hoped everyone could put their phones down for a while and focus on the performance."
He continued, "I thought that if we could communicate freely without distractions, it would create a truly memorable experience for everyone. However, I started to feel disappointed when I saw people holding up cameras during the performance and when videos were immediately uploaded to social media after it ended."
Yoon explained that despite repeated requests and prior announcements, the issue persisted. He expressed his feelings, stating, "I feel a little sorry and disappointed. I’m writing this because I truly hope this won’t happen again."
He concluded his message by emphasizing, "Please don’t do that. Please listen to what I want."
Meanwhile, Yoon Kye-sang recently held his 2024 fan meeting 'LOG' at the Donghae Cultural Arts Center at Kwangwoon University on December 14th, commemorating his 20th anniversary since debut.
Full Message from Yoon Kye-sang:
Hello, this is Yoon Kye-sang.
Did you enjoy the LOG fan meeting? I did my best to prepare, but there were still so many things I wish I could have done better, so I feel a little embarrassed and sorry.
The fan meeting video is currently being edited (don’t expect too much—it’s just a simple broadcast-style edit). I’m not sure how it will turn out, but I’ll do my best to share it properly, so please don’t worry.
There’s one more thing I want to talk about. It’s about using cameras during the performance and the videos that are currently on YouTube and Instagram.
Um... Honestly, I really wanted to connect with fans more closely during this fan meeting. To achieve that, I hoped everyone could set aside their phones for a while and focus on the performance. I thought that if we could interact freely, without distractions or formalities, it would create a truly special moment for everyone—especially since it’s been so long since we gathered like this.
But, to be honest, I started to feel disappointed seeing people holding up cameras during the performance and videos being uploaded to social media right after.
I know there were announcements, and I even mentioned it during the event (except when I specifically asked people to film), but it still happened. It’s a bit disheartening. I’m writing this in hopes that it won’t happen again next time.
Please don’t do that. Please listen to what I’m asking.
Anyway, as I said during the LOG fan meeting, let’s all stay healthy and meet again soon. It’s getting cold, so take care not to catch a cold. Have a wonderful year-end. Bye.
