Comedian Kim Young Chul reconnects with listeners amidst tense times.
On the December 4th KST broadcast of SBS PowerFM’s 'Kim Young Chul’s PowerFM', comedian Kim Young Chul began the live show with a calm and steady voice.
Responding to a listener’s message saying, “I’m especially glad to hear from you today, Chul-up-DJ,” Kim replied, “I’m glad to hear from you, too.”
Listeners shared sentiments such as, “Hearing your voice feels reassuring,” and “I couldn’t sleep, I was scared and trembling, but morning has come, as it always does.” Kim reflected, “Indeed, here I am at 7 o’clock as always, and morning has come once again.”
He added, “I imagine many people had a restless night. I’ve lived 51 years, and even I was stunned. Many of you must have been shaken last night. I got home around 10:30 PM, just about to sleep, but the news was overwhelming. I ended up texting with the radio staff for an hour and barely slept. I think many of you might have felt the same way.”
Despite the heavy atmosphere, Kim concluded with warmth: “Still, a new day has begun. It’s cold outside, so let’s make sure to send warm messages to check in on each other today.”
