Oh Hyuk (31), leader of the band Hyukoh, has married model Hwang Ji Min.
According to Star News on December 14, the wedding took place that afternoon at a church in Seoul. The ceremony was held privately, and attended by family, close friends, and colleagues, including fellow artists such as Chang Kiha and Code Kunst, who came to celebrate the couple’s new beginning.
A devout Christian, Oh Hyuk conducted the wedding in a solemn and reverent atmosphere, following a worship service format.
The news of Oh Hyuk’s marriage first broke on November 29, when his agency, DooRooDooRoo Artist Company, confirmed to Star News that “Oh Hyuk is getting married in December.” True to his preference for privacy, Oh Hyuk kept the wedding preparations under wraps, with his agency remaining tight-lipped about the date, location, and identity of his bride.
However, it was confirmed during today’s ceremony that his fiancé is none other than Hwang Ji Min. A wedding invitation obtained by Star News bore the message, “Two people who want to embrace and cherish each other with perfect love have met. We invite you to join us at the start of this new chapter of love.”
The couple’s artistic wedding photos have also drawn attention. In the photos, Oh Hyuk is seen wearing a black hat and beaming with happiness, while Hwang Ji Min glows behind her wedding veil, smiling brightly.
Oh Hyuk debuted as the vocalist of Hyukoh in 2014 with their first album, 20, which featured the breakout hit 'Wi Ing Wi Ing.' In 2015, he gained wider recognition through his appearance on MBC’s 'Infinite Challenge', where he teamed up with Jung Hyung Don for the '2015 Yeongdong Expressway Music Festival.'
Beyond his work with Hyukoh, Oh Hyuk has collaborated across genres with renowned artists such as IU, Epik High, Zion.T, and Dynamic Duo. Notably, in May of this year, he garnered attention for producing'Come Back to Me' for BTS member RM (Rap Monster). Congratulations to Oh Hyuk and Hwang Ji Min on their beautiful union.
