Sports trainer and TV personality Yang Chi Seung has shed light on his ongoing legal battle with the landlord of his fitness center.
In an episode of Channel A’s ‘Friends Documentary—4-Seater Dining Table’, Yang invited his close friends, including actress Choi Kang Hee, actor Sung Hoon, and comedian Heo Kyung Hwan, to his gym in Gangnam. During the show, he prepared a special dish, revealing it was one he had presented on Netflix's hit show ‘Black and White Chef’, where his segment was ultimately cut. The anticipation builds as viewers wonder if his friends will give the dish better reviews than celebrity chef Baek Jong Won.
Yang opened up about the struggles he faces due to the ongoing lawsuit, stating, “The number of gym members is decreasing, and the situation isn’t good. I haven’t told my family because there’s no need for them to struggle along with me.” He recounted a heartbreaking moment when his children chose not to use air conditioning during the summer to save on electricity costs after learning about his financial struggles from the show. Fighting back tears, he shared, “It hurt to see them endure so much.” Despite the difficulties, Yang remained optimistic, joking, “At first, visiting a lawyer’s office was intimidating, but now I’m so used to it that it feels almost comfortable.”
The episode also marked the first time Yang shared his love story. A self-proclaimed bachelor, he shocked everyone by revealing that he got married just three months after meeting his wife on a blind date. Despite his marital status, he humorously declared that he still identifies as a bachelor at heart, drawing laughter from the audience.
Yang’s close friend Choi Kang Hee opened up about her own struggles, including a hiatus from acting three years ago when she worked part-time washing dishes. She confessed, “I felt lost in my career and relationships. Simple labor like dishwashing and cleaning became therapeutic and helped me let go of my anxieties.” The experience ultimately led her to return to acting with a renewed perspective.
Meanwhile, Yang shared a touching story about Sung Hoon, who stood by his side during his mother’s funeral in 2022, staying at the wake for three days. He added, “On my birthday, Sung Hoon came by just before midnight to deliver a gift. It really moved me.”
The episode offered viewers a glimpse into the lives of Yang and his friends, showcasing their struggles, resilience, and the strength of their friendships.
