Kang Full, the renowned webtoon artist behind the hit Disney+ series Moving, is set to debut another adaptation of his work, Light Shop, on December 4.

Following the success of Moving, which became Disney+’s most-watched drama outside the United States last year, this new release is anticipated to further cement Disney’s presence in Korean original content. The achievement of Moving stands out as the most significant milestone since Disney+ entered the Korean market in 2021.

Disney has given special attention to Light Shop, branding it as one of the most anticipated Korean dramas of the year. On November 20, during a showcase event unveiling upcoming films and original content from Disney, Marvel, Pixar, and 21st Century Fox, Light Shop was spotlighted with an exclusive one-hour screening and press conference. The event saw the participation of over 400 journalists from 12 countries across the Asia-Pacific region, including Korea, China, Japan, and Australia.

Kang Full, who also played a teacher named Choi Il Hwan in Moving, personally recommended director Kim Hee Won to helm Light Shop. According to Kang, Kim demonstrated a deep understanding of the intricate universe within Light Shop, making him the ideal choice to bring the story to life.

The cast of Light Shop includes Ju Ji Hoon, Park Bo Young, Kim Seol Hyun, and Bae Sung Woo, further heightening expectations for the drama. As a uniquely imaginative piece of K-content, the upcoming December release has fans eagerly awaiting its arrival.
