Seventeen’s Joshua recently shared a series of updates with fans on Weverse, asking how they were doing and offering glimpses into his daily life.

Joshua posted a photo of what appears to be Central Park in New York City and wrote messages such as "Good Morning CARATs," "Are you guys taking care of your health?" "Be careful of the flu, CARATs okay? Don't be sick," "I miss you so so much," "I've been jogging every morning and it helps me empty my thoughts. Try running if you have a lot on your mind, CARATs. Or go on a walk, looking at nice scenery," "Always see pretty things and always be happy, okay CARATs?" and "I'll get going for my next schedule, CARATs!"

While the messages were lighthearted and uncontroversial, they sparked an unexpected debate among Korean netizens in a popular online forum.

"I'm a former Seventeen fan, but he always randomly appears and leaves messages like that. And then he disappears."

"I think the timing of the messages is bad."
