Ha Sung Woon's management label Big Planet Made has stepped up to clarify the singer's position in the latest plagiarism controversy surrounding the OST "What Are We" for the tvN drama 'Love Next Door'.
Previously, suspicions of plagiarism arose over "What Are We", sung as OST Part. 2 for 'Love Next Door', and the song "0310" by Baek Ye Rin. Soon, in the early hours of October 4 KST, Baek Ye Rin herself spoke up to address the plagiarism suspicions, writing on her SNS, "It must you to suck copying. Feel bad. If you want a song like mine, please ask me so."
Now, in response to the ongoing issue, Ha Sung Woon's side has clarified with the following statement,
"Hello, this is Big Planet Made.
We would like to clarify that the plagiarism issue raised by singer Paek Ye Rin on SNS over the OST 'What Are We' for the drama 'Love Next Door' is entirely unrelated to our artist Ha Sung Woon.
Ha Sung Woon was merely commissioned to sing the OST by the drama's OST production company. He had no part in writing, composing, or editing the song.
Nonetheless, we feel apologetic toward fans for the fact that an OST sung by Ha Sung Woon has become wrapped up in plagiarism accusations.
Once again, we stress that Ha Sung Woon has no responsibility in the recent issue, and we hope that Baek Ye Rin and the OST production company can come to a settlement."
