On the evening of September 25 KST, a group viewing event was held for the film 'Veteran 2' at Lotte Cinema World Tower. On this day, director Ryu Seung Wan was joined by his good friend and actor Jo In Sung, who previously worked with Ryu on the set of 'Smugglers' (2023).
During the Q&A event which followed the screening of 'Veteran 2', Jo In Sung revealed that he almost made a cameo appearance in the film due to his friendship with director Ryu.
But what truly garnered attention from this day was Jo In Sung's reaction after seeing a handful of audience members leaving the theater in the middle of the event.
When the director began answering a question, several people in the audience began getting up to leave the theater. It's likely that many of them had to leave the event early to catch public transportation, as the group viewing event was held late at night.
Afterward, when he was able to address the audience again, Jo In Sung remarked, "I saw some people leaving while we answered question, and now I'm worried. Am I too boring? If I am, then I'll try to be funnier. It's been a while since I went on a variety show, so I might not have the strongest sense of humor lately. All in all, there are people here who promised to spend tonight chatting with me, so I'll do my best."
Many netizens found the actor's genuine expressions relatable, and also empathized with his joking comment made to ease his anxiety. They commented,
"His pupils are so busy kekekeke."
"Awww he was all sad to see people leave early. But they probably just had to catch the last subway kekekeke."
"With his personality, he's 50% joking and 50% serious lol. He got really worried seeing those people leave lol."
"We forgive you for not knowing how subway schedules work kekekeke."
"That's a cute way to ask the audience to stay until the end."
"His expressions are priceless."
"I think this shows that he's being more sincere about spending time with audiences than if he just ignored everything."
"He looks like he saw a ghost kekekeke."
"I like his honesty kekekeke."
