Actors Hong Kyung and Roh Yoon Seo are set to bring a refreshing charm to theaters this November.
On September 24th KST, distributor Plus M Entertainment announced that the film "Hear Me: Our Summer" (directed by Cho Sun Ho), starring Hong Kyung and Roh Yoon Seo, is confirmed to premiere on November 6th KST. Alongside the announcement, a teaser poster and trailer filled with the vibrant essence of first love were released.
"Hear Me: Our Summer", a remake of the Taiwanese film of the same name, tells the heartwarming story of Yong Jun (played by Hong Kyung), who passionately pursues love, and Yeo Reum (played by Roh Yoon Seo), who gradually comes to understand genuine feelings. The film also features their supportive sibling Gaeul (played by Kim Min Ju), capturing moments of youthful excitement and affection.
The movie has drawn attention for its cast of rising stars, including Hong Kyung, Roh Yoon Seo, and Kim Min Ju. Hong Kyung takes on the role of the determined Yong Jun, while Roh Yoon Seo plays the resilient eldest daughter, Yeo Reum, bringing the thrill of first love to life. Kim Min Ju rounds out the trio as Gaeul, an aspiring swimmer, adding a fresh dynamic to the story.
In the newly revealed poster, Yong Jun and Yeo Reum are seen basking in the sunlight on a grassy field with a scooter that connects their fates. The tagline, “Moments of refreshing excitement,” evokes nostalgic memories of first love, stirring emotions in viewers. The teaser trailer starts with Yong Jun instantly falling for Yeo Reum while delivering a lunchbox, sparking curiosity about the events to unfold between them.
"Hear Me: Our Summer" has already been invited to the 29th Busan International Film Festival, under the Korean Cinema Today - Special Premiere section, which opens on October 2nd KST. After its premiere at the festival, the film will hit theaters nationwide on November 6th KST.
