iKON's Song Yun Hyeong to enlist in the military.
Song Yun Hyeong, a member of the group iKON, is set to enlist in the military on August 13 KST, according to his agency, 143 Entertainment. The agency announced, "We ask for your support and encouragement for Song Yunhyeong as he fulfills his mandatory military service."
The agency also added, "For safety reasons, there will be no official event on the day of his enlistment. We ask for your understanding as he will be enlisting privately to prevent any safety issues due to crowding at the site."
A day before his enlistment, on August 12 KST, Song Yun Hyeong shared a photo of himself with a short haircut on his Instagram and wrote, "Konics, I’ll be back safely!! Thank you always. Please take care and wait for me with a joyful and excited heart!!"
iKON made their official debut in 2015 with the full-length album "WELCOME BACK" and have since released numerous hit songs, including "LOVE SCENARIO," "My Type," "GOODBYE ROAD," "KILLING ME," "RHYTHM TA," "Apology," and "#WYD." The group also gained attention by appearing on the boy group competition show "Kingdom: Legendary War."
Earlier this year, in March, Song Yun Hyeong released his first solo album "It's Call!" The album features five tracks of various genres, with the title track "It's Call" being a trot genre song that can be easily enjoyed by listeners of all ages.
