There are rumors that the soon-to-be-married couple, Hani and Yang Jae Woong, are postponing their wedding, which was initially planned for this September.

According to OSEN's August 2 report, Hani and Dr. Yang Jae Woong were originally scheduled to get married in September. However, it has been reported that due to the aftermath of a recent patient death incident, they are considering a postponement.

Regarding this, a representative from Hani's agency, Sublime, told OSEN, "We cannot confirm anything related to the wedding postponement," remaining cautious. They did not deny the rumor about postponing the wedding, which is only a month away, and maintained a stance of 'unable to confirm.'

Previously, on May 31, a media outlet reported that Hani and psychiatrist Yang Jae Woong would be getting married in September after four years of dating.

The next day, June 1, Hani personally confirmed the marriage by saying, "Thank you. I was lucky to receive an overwhelming amount of love from many people. Growing up on that love, I have become someone capable of sharing love. Thank you for raising me so beautifully," and "I have met someone with whom I want to share my life. So, we have decided to get married. I will always live happily with a grateful heart. I sincerely thank everyone who congratulated us."

Afterward, Yang Jae Woong appeared on Channel A's entertainment show 'Table for 4' and boasted, "My girlfriend Hani proposed to me first. She is a wonderful person with a great life direction."

However, on the 26th of last month, a news report stated that a patient had died in a hospital where a famous psychiatrist, Dr. A, frequently appearing on broadcasts, was the director. The incident occurred on May 27, when a woman in her 30s, identified as B, was hospitalized for diet pill addiction treatment but died after the hospital allegedly neglected her complaints of abdominal pain, according to her family.

It was later revealed that Dr. A was Yang Jae Woong, who issued a statement two months later saying, "Regarding the incident that occurred during the hospitalization process at W Jin Hospital, both I and the former medical staff cannot hide our devastated feelings, and we sincerely apologize to the deceased and their grieving family," and "This incident happened at the hospital where I am the director, and as the hospital director of W Jin Hospital, I take this matter very seriously. The hospital is doing its best to cooperate with external agencies, providing medical records and CCTV footage of the incident."

Especially, the fact that Hani and Yang Jae Woong announced their wedding on June 1, just four days after the patient died on May 27, drew immense criticism. Yang Jae Woong was criticized for announcing the wedding only four days after the patient’s death, which was seen as disrespectful to the patient and their family.

Hani was also not free from criticism. Many malicious comments were posted on her personal social media and online communities, with some netizens questioning if Hani was aware of the incident, saying, "Did Hani really not know about the death?" and advising her to reconsider the marriage.

Moreover, the deceased B’s mother expressed anger, saying that despite Yang Jae Woong's apology, "He never apologized or came forward until the media reported the incident, and now he's trying to manipulate the media. When I protested in front of the hospital yesterday morning, he walked past without even looking at me. His apology does not seem sincere, so I cannot accept it," which worsened public opinion.
