BJ Juice Se Yeon (real name: In Se Yeon), a popular online live streamer on AfreecaTV, has addressed recent speculation about her meeting with HYBE chairman Bang Si Hyuk.
Juice Se Yeon hosted a live stream on her AfreecaTV channel on Sunday titled "World Star Juice Se Yeon."
Before the broadcast began, she captured viewers' by playing a medley of songs from HYBE artists, including BTS's "Fire," NewJeans's "OMG," LE SSERAFIM's "ANTIFRAGILE," ILLIT's "Magnetic," and TWS's "Plot Twist." This selection quickly drew significant interest, reaching 40,000 concurrent viewers within just 30 minutes.
The spotlight on Juice Se Yeon intensified after a video surfaced showing her with Bang. The footage, shared by a U.S. street-focused channel, showed Bang, Juice Se Yeon, and another woman walking together in Beverly Hills. In the video, Bang asks his companions, "Did we get filmed?" with a friendly demeanor.
Following the video's release, HYBE clarified the situation: "Chairman Bang Si Hyuk met one of the two women at a social gathering and offered advice on handling impersonators in the entertainment industry. When the women came to LA, they asked about tourist spots and restaurants, so we assisted with reservations and provided guidance."
Juice Se Yeon later clarified that the meeting with Bang was not coincidental. She explained, "My sister and I asked acquaintances for restaurant recommendations. Since it was a popular spot, the chairman kindly helped us secure a reservation. He agreed to make the booking if we went together, so we accepted his offer." She added, "It seems unlikely we would randomly meet in the U.S. I've heard Chairman Bang has face blindness, so it doesn't add up."
Reflecting on the unexpected attention, Juice Se Yeon remarked, "I became famous from just a photo of crossing a crosswalk. This not only promoted the Netflix variety show but also drew a lot of viewers to my comeback broadcast. I think I've done quite well for myself." She expressed her delight at the unexpected success.
Juice Se Yeon has been active as a BJ and influencer on AfreecaTV since 2019 and recently appeared on the Netflix original variety show The Influencer. HYBE founder Bang Si Hyuk is known to have an estimated net worth of $2.9 billion.
