Actress Choi Kang Hee becomes the 'Yangpyeong sell-out lady' – what's the story?
On August 21 KST, Choi Kang Hee uploaded a video titled "Selling at the Market" on her YouTube channel.
The video shows Choi Kang Hee visiting the Yangpyeong Market. She warmly greeted the vendors, saying, "I’m running a YouTube channel, and I’m here to help out where hands are needed," as she approached them with a friendly demeanor.
During her visit, she received gifts like cola and peppers from the vendors, enjoying the moment.
Of course, no market visit is complete without some food tasting. Choi Kang Hee expressed her satisfaction through a mukbang session, enjoying traditional barley rice. She also received a complimentary serving of soybean noodle soup and joked, "How am I going to finish all of this?"
Later, Choi Kang Hee took on the role of a fruit store clerk, pricing the items and interacting directly with customers. The customers, eager to see her, shared their support, saying, "It's great to see you active again. We want to cheer you on," and "You seem so approachable now, it’s nice to see this side of you."
In response, Choi Kang Hee engaged with them by taking photos and having casual conversations.
Choi Kang Hee successfully sold out the fruits, earning her the title of "Yangpyeong Sell-Out Lady." She humorously remarked, "I once took a career aptitude test, and it said I was well-suited for sales and the military. Military was number one, and sales was number two."
She added, "The people at the market are so kind, and I hope the customers continue to speak warm and kind words. Please avoid saying things like 'The store next door is tastier' or 'The other place is cheaper.'"
