tvN and TVING's original drama 'No Gain No Love' tells the story of Son Hae Young (played by Shin Min Ah), a woman who holds a fake wedding to avoid losses, and Kim Ji Wook (played by Kim Young Dae), a man who becomes her fake groom to help her. It's a romance with zero loss.
Shin Min Ah returns as Son Hae Young, a woman who calculates profit and loss in both life and love. When faced with the risk of missing a promotion, she decides to stage a fake wedding. Known for her irreplaceable roles in 'Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha' and 'Our Blues', Shin Min Ah is set to showcase a blend of her signature charm and a new, bold character through Hae Young.
Kim Young Dae will play Kim Ji Wook, a night-shift convenience store worker who is known as a local hero. Ji Wook, who cannot ignore people in need and is an exemplary worker, gets an unexpected proposal from Hae Young to be her fake groom, leading to a new chapter in his life. Known for his performances in 'Moon in the Day' and 'The Forbidden Marriage', Kim Young Dae is expected to bring Ji Wook's multifaceted character to life.
Lee Sang Yi takes on the role of Bok Kyu Hyun, a third-generation chaebol CEO who doesn't believe in fateful love. He is the CEO of Honeybee Education, where Hae Young works, and secretly becomes an active commenter under a pseudonym on Nam Ja Yeon's web novel, eventually meeting her in person. Known for his work in 'Bloodhounds', 'Youth of May', and 'My Demon', Lee Sang Yi is expected to deliver another standout performance.
Han Ji Hyun will play Nam Ja Yeon, a famous 19+ web novel writer known by her pen name 'Yeon Bora'. She becomes entangled with her boss, Bok Kyu Hyun, while living with Hae Young, adding another layer of intrigue and humor. Han Ji Hyun, known for her roles in 'Cheer Up' and the 'Penthouse' series, will bring her lively energy and charm to this character.
The ensemble cast of 'No Gain No Love' has already garnered significant attention ahead of the premiere. With director Kim Jung Sik, known for his witty style in 'Strong Girl Nam Soon', and writer Kim Hye Young of 'Her Private Life' fame, the drama is set to be a top contender in the romantic comedy genre this fall.
'No Gain No Love' premieres on August 26 at 8:50 PM KST. A spin-off is also planned to be released as a TVING original.
