The organizer of ONF's upcoming North American tour has issued a statement of apology for offering a small number of fans extra benefits and amenities through private KakaoTalk chatrooms.
Previously, fans of ONF banded together to demand an explanation from J&B Entertainment, the organizer of ONF's tour, for unfairly offering a small number of fans various benefits, including tickets, private information about the ONF members and their itineraries, clothing worn by the ONF members, etc.
When the issue reached ONF's label, WM Entertainment, it confronted J&B Entertainment to clarify the situation at hand.
As a result, Jacky Yoo, the CEO of J&B Entertainment, has issued the following statement to apologize for his actions.
"I'm Jacky Yoo, CEO of J&B Entertainment, the organizer of ONF's North American tour.
First, I sincerely apologize to the fans of ONF.
While carrying out ticket sales for ONF's North American tour, I conversed privately with a small number of fans via KakaoTalk, offering them advantageous sales offers and additional benefits. I apologize for worrying fans of ONF, the members of ONF, and WM Entertainment with my foolish attitude and careless speech.
I promise to never again communicate with fans privately or offer them additional benefits or amenities without consent from WM Entertainment.
When WM Entertainment discovered that I had acted arbitrarily, I was ordered to correct the method of ticket sales for ONF's North American tour. All of the misunderstandings caused by poor communication, including persistent complaints from fans regarding the tour, are due to my carelessness, and there is no room for excuses. I am deeply regretting my decisions. All benefits and amenities offered to a small number of recipients without WM ENtertainment's consent will be cancelled. All ticket holders who wish to receive a refund will receive a 100% refund.
Once again, I bow my head in apology to the members of ONF and their fans for the trouble caused."
Furthermore, in response to the above incident, WM Entertainment has announced that it will halt all further partnerships with J&B Entertainment, including the cancellation of ONF's tour stops in Taiwan and Hong Kong, originally scheduled to take place in October.
Regarding the group's scheduled North American tour with J&B Entertainment, taking place from August 16 through September 1 in 8-cities, WM Entertainment relayed, "As for ONF's North American tour, scheduled to kick off in August, we will take into consideration the pure intentions of the fans who have completed preparations to meet ONF in their city, and review all circumstances thoroughly before making an announcement."
