Fake delivery men have been fined for stealing EXO and NCT's personal information.
According to reports, Park and Kim were each issued fines of 3 million won ($2167.74 USD) by Criminal Division 3 of the Seoul Eastern District Court for violating the Information and Communication Network Act and Information Protection. Judge Lee Ho Dong stated the two men deceived the victims by pretending to be delivery drivers in order to gain access to their personal information.
The two men, who are streamers on a voice chat media platform, made contact with SM Entertainment idols in April of last year to trick them into providing their personal data. Reports say they would use cell phones at Kim's home to send messages like, "The package is here, but the house number isn't written on it," and "The package just states the item name. Did you order this?"
The victims are reportedly 3 members of NCT and 1 member of EXO.
