On June 17, a news media outlet reported that Rosé was "in discussion" of signing a contract with THE BLACK LABEL for her solo activities. 

THE BLACK LABEL is an entertainment company founded in 2016 by Teddy, a renowned producer and formerly of the YG Entertainment group 1TYM. The company is home to artists such as Big Bang's Taeyang, singer Jeon So Mi, Zion.T, and actors Park Bo Gum and Lee Jong Won.
