Jung Yonghwa, leader of the band CNBLUE and an accomplished actor, is set to appear in the upcoming film 'Favorite Restaurant' (literal translation), as confirmed by FNC Entertainment on June 18 KST.
'Favorite Restaurant' is a heartwarming and humorous mystery drama about people unrelated by blood who come together, relying on kindness and trust to find a way forward.
In 'Favorite Restaurant,' Jung Yonghwa will play the role of Cha Ki Yong. Ki Yong is a mysterious character who, after a troubled adolescence and twenties, returns to his hometown of Judeok-dong to open an adult PC room. Seeking a fresh start, he leaves his dark past behind in search of a new life.
This film marks Jung Yonghwa's return to the big screen after nearly seven years since 'Cook Up a Storm' in 2017. In the interim, he has expanded his acting repertoire with roles in JTBC's 'The Package,' KBS 2TV's 'Sell Your Haunted House,' and 'Brain Works.' Known for his ability to portray a wide range of characters, from romance to genre films and comedies, Jung Yonghwa's performance in 'Favorite Restaurant' is highly anticipated.
The film has recently finalized its casting and begun filming, with a release planned for 2025.
