Lee Soo Man's recent public appearance as a keynote speaker at the annual general meeting of the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers (CISAC) on May 30 KST is garnering quite the media attention.
While some reporters were interested in Lee Soo Man's intentions to return to the entertainment industry with his new agency, A20 Entertainment, and others were interested to see if the SM Entertainment founder would comment on the ongoing feud between CEO Min Hee Jin of ADOR and parent company HYBE Labels, others took an interest in something else altogether.
According to some fans, Lee Soo Man was seen wearing one of his "favorite rings" on his right hand during his CISAC meeting attendance.
This 'Chrome Hearts' ring is also known as Lee Soo Man's version of the "SuperM friendship ring".
Upon forming his super K-Pop group, SuperM, in 2019, Lee Soo Man gifted the 7 members with "friendship rings". The story goes that the members were asked to choose the design they wanted, and Taemin jokingly asked for the one that Lee Soo Man was wearing. So Lee Soo Man took off his ring and gave it to Taemin, and then bought another one with the same design (a vertical cross rather than a horizontal cross) for himself afterward.
Although the cross-shaped ring is well-known for being one of the producer's "favorite rings" in general, many K-netizens also wondered if there was any hidden intent behind Lee Soo Man's accessory.
