Fashion magazine 'Harper's Bazaar' Korea has caught attention by unveiling the April issue cover featuring actress Jun Ji Hyun and footballer Son Heung Min, showcasing four different styles between two individuals.
Jun Ji Hyun's photoshoot took place in Seoul and Son Heung Min's in London, each embodying their unique charms. Jun Ji Hyun elegantly embraced a concept of 'The Age of Innocence' with white and black colored looks. Her cover shot in a black jacket and pants embellished with exquisite details was accentuated with red lipstick.
On the other hand, Son Heung Min's photoshoot, conducted during the 2024 F/W London Fashion Week, captured him against the backdrop of a unique mansion, showcasing a completely different side of him as a fashionista, a stark contrast to his appearance on the field.
The color version capturing his signature smile and the black and white version highlighting his superior proportions are expected to spark a desire to collect among fans.
In an interview, when asked about how she maintains her identity and balance as an actress, Jun Ji Hyun responded,
"There's a clear difference between when I'm working and when I'm not. But, the switch of being an actress is always on in my heart. Whenever I face a moment in life, I naturally connect it to acting, wondering about the emotions involved. In a way, I think my job is more about being chosen by others rather than choosing myself. That's why I can't turn off that switch."
She once said that she would be an actress for life and would not be bound by the past or the future. Asked if she still feels the same, she replied, "Yes, still. That's why I want to show the best of myself now rather than being tied to the past or future."
When asked about a day that is most like Jun Ji Hyun, she answered, "Doing exercise, meeting friends and eating delicious food, having dinner with my family at home, and ending the day by watching a favorite show on OTT. That's the most 'me' day."
In an interview after the shoot, when Son Heung Min was asked if there were moments when soccer felt like a one-sided love affair, he said,
"I don't think there was a moment when soccer felt like unrequited love. I've thought deeply about this question, and I always find myself crying and laughing because of soccer. We love each other. (Laughs) Even when I'm doing something else at home, I catch myself watching soccer videos. Even when I'm driving, I find myself watching kids playing soccer on the streets. Conversations with my family also end up revolving around soccer. I feel that every private moment of mine is connected to soccer."
Asked if his previous statement about not wanting to work in soccer-related fields after retirement still holds true, he answered, "Yes, I believe this feeling will not change for the rest of my life. It's a promise to myself and a decision I've already made. I love and enjoy playing soccer, but I don't think I have the ability to teach others. I love the moments when I'm playing the ball. Of course, I'll stay close to soccer, but then just as a soccer fan. (Laughs)"
When asked about his current dream, Son Heung Min said, "Footballer Son Heung Min is very greedy. It may not show outwardly, but I want to win every match, win championships, and lift trophies. I want to be a footballer who can give back as much love as I have received. Above all, I want to be a happy footballer, just like now."
Jun Ji Hyun and Son Heung Min's covers, photoshoots, hidden inside covers, interviews, and videos can be found in the April issue of 'Harper's Bazaar', on their website, and Instagram.
