ZEROBASEONE is rapidly emerging as the 'next top tier' to captivate Japan, the K-pop Mecca. Just as Seventeen, Stray Kids, and NCT have done before, they too are proving their qualifications with "numbers".
Coinciding with their local debut, they achieved the remarkable feat of selling out a massive fan concert with 50,000 seats in no time.
ZEROBASEONE is scheduled to hold their local debut commemorative fan concert, 'ZEROBASEONE Fan-Con in Japan,' on the 23rd and 24th in the newly opened K-ARENA in Yokohama, Japan. With each performance accommodating up to 25,000 seats, they successfully sold all tickets for the combined two performances, totaling 50,000 seats, by last weekend.
Selling out all seats through advance booking is extremely rare for a group making their local debut, and within the Japanese industry, ZEROBASEONE's "felt popularity" is currently being assessed as actual ticket power.
The agency WakeOne, La Fonce Entertainment handling local management, and Sony Music are considering opening additional seats with restricted views due to strong requests from fans who were unable to get tickets.
The concert will be broadcast live through the leading domestic theater chain, CGV. It will take place in 20 multiplex theaters nationwide and has attracted attention for selling out all seats almost immediately after tickets went on sale.
ZEROBASEONE's official debut in Japan is on the 20th, with the release of their first local single album "Uraura-Unmeino Hana". The title track of the album was released on the 8th and caused a major upset by topping the charts on Japan's largest music site, Line Music, and surpassing 1 million cumulative streams on Spotify, a global platform.
ZEROBASEONE was formed through the Mnet TV audition program "Boys Planet" last year and has established itself as a representative idol group of the fifth generation with hits like "In Bloom" and "Crush".
