Nine months after dropping their third mini-album ‘BOYHOOD,’ P NATION’s THE NEW SIX has finally come back with the trendy pop digital single “FUEGO.”

With “FUEGO” deriving from its Spanish term which means “fire,” TAE HUN, KYUNG JUN, HYUN SOO, JUN HYEOK, HWI, and SUNG JUN express their aspirations toward achieving their ultimate goal in their new release, channeling their desire and will to “burn” their worries to propel themselves forward, constantly working on the goals they have set for themselves.

To commemorate their return, THE NEW SIX talked to allkpop about their 2nd anniversary, what drives their passion for success, goals, and more. Read the full exclusive interview below!

allkpop: First, congratulations on your comeback! Is there anything interesting that happened behind the scenes while preparing for this release? How did the recording process and music video shooting go?

TAE HUN: There is a scene in the music video where I am trapped, so it was very difficult to film because I couldn't see outside from that space. But it was an exciting experience.

KYUNG JUN: Preparing for this album was really fun because we haven’t done a powerful song since "MOVE." The music video was epic. We got to film in a tunnel for the first time.

allkpop: Since the Spanish word “FUEGO” means “fire” and “passion” in English. What mainly drives your spirit and passion for success and to continue to perform on stage as an artist?

HWI: I think our THX (THE NEW SIX fan club) are the ones who make us passionate. In fact, all stages are ultimately stages for THX, so it makes us work harder and put in more effort and passion to show a stage that THX will love.

allkpop: Speaking of that, do you have any other passion aside from doing music and performing on stage? Do you have any other hobbies?

SUNG JUN: I love watching soccer and I also have a hobby of collecting uniforms and jerseys!

JUN HYEOK: My hobbies are shopping, visiting delicious restaurants, and listening to scary stories. Outside of music and performing, I am passionate about basketball and bowling!

HWI: I think my only hobbies are walking around alone, shopping alone, and spending time alone.

allkpop: You’re going to celebrate your 2nd anniversary in May! Looking back, what's one you achieved that you will always be proud of?

HYUN SOO: I feel proud when I hear THX cheering for us when we do our best on stage!

allkpop: What are some of the things on your bucket list that you are working on achieving? The goals may be for your group or yourself!

JUN HYEOK: It's one of our team bucket lists to make a comeback with an album that we've all worked hard on, and to get the No. 1 spot on music charts.

KYUNG JUN: One of my bucket lists, for the team and myself, is to make TAE HUN go skydiving.

allkpop: Since it’s already been 2 years since you debuted. How different were your first impressions back then to now? Have you gotten closer, and do you know a lot more about each other now?

TAE HUN: First of all, yes. We've seen, experienced, and grown a lot over the years, so I think it's only natural that the members are different now than when we first met.

HYUN SOO: It was awkward and difficult at first, but now I'm more comfortable and having more fun with the members!

allkpop: If you could describe THE NEW SIX’s journey in the future in six words, one word or phrase for each member, what would it be? What’s something people should look forward to THE NEW SIX?

TAE HUN: Step by step / As always, we will show you that we are growing through experience, and we will move forward step by step to become the perfect THE NEW SIX.

KYUNG JUN: Earth / I really want to go on an overseas tour!

HYUN SOO: Working holiday / I don't know what to expect or what will happen, but I'm excited and looking forward to it!

JUN HYEOK: Higher / We're going higher! We hope you will look forward to the charm of each member and the growth of the six members that only THE NEW SIX can offer, and stay tuned!

HWI: Potential / Because there are a lot of things we haven't shown you yet, and those sides are going to surprise a lot of people.

SUNG JUN: Longevity idol / I want to become an idol who stays by THX's side for a long time and above all, stays healthy with all the members.

allkpop: Lastly, could you tell us one TMI and one song that you’ve been listening to these days? Feel free to leave your message to allkpop readers and your fans as well!

HWI: These days, I enjoy listening to Block B sunbaenim's “Walkin' In The Rain.” TMI is that we have been so busy preparing for our comeback these days that it has been a month since I was able to produce something... SUNG JUN: I've been listening to Daniel Jikal's “Fresh” a lot. It's a song that Daniel worked hard on. I like it because I can feel his passion.
