J.Y. Park, also known as 'JYP,' has been announced as the headlining act for the '2024 Weverse Con Festival' (hereafter 'Weverse Con'), a global music festival organized by HYBE.
Scheduled to perform on June 15-16 at the Inspire Resort in Yeongjongdo, Incheon, J.Y. Park has been chosen as the tribute stage (dedication stage) protagonist for 2024, promising a groundbreaking collaborative performance with junior artists.
The collaboration was initiated by HYBE's head, Bang Si-hyuk, who is known to have a close friendship with J.Y. Park. Bang Si-hyuk personally extended the invitation to J.Y. Park, who gladly accepted.
Last year's Weverse Con saw 'Korea's Madonna,' Uhm Jung-hwa, as the tribute artist, delivering a deeply moving performance with junior artists, LE SSERAFIM.
The lineup for this year's Weverse Con, which J.Y. Park will join, is highly anticipated. Last year, artists such as Kim Junsu, Zico, BTOB, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, ENHYPEN, LE SSERAFIM, NewJeans, and Jeremy Zucker participated in the festival.
HYBE previously stated, "The Weverse Con Festival serves as a meaningful event that connects the past and present of Korean pop music, offering a platform to enjoy performances from a diverse array of global artists in one venue.
