According to media outlet reports on February 16 KST, actor Hyun Bin has been tapped for a leading role in the drama 'Made In Korea', directed by Woo Min Ho and produced by Hive Media Corp.
The story will be a sequel to the 2018 hit crime/action film 'The Drug King', which starred Song Kang Ho, Jo Jung Suk, and Bae Doo Na. Based on a true story of drug figures who reigned underground in Korea in the 1970's, the film was heralded as a masterpiece. The spin-off drama, 'Made In Korea', takes its name from the name of the drug that Lee Doo Sam made and distributed in 'The Drug King'.
It's said that the production budget for 'Made In Korea' is around 48 billion KRW (~ $36 million USD), with Hyun Bin offered the cast's main leading role.
Just read that the drama is not a sequel of the movie. The two works are separate works that are not related at all. Anyways can’t wait to see the full cast
