Chungha is making her return to the music scene.
According to eDaily's investigation on February 26, Chungha's comeback activities are imminent. She is actively preparing for the release of her new song, aiming for a comeback in March.
If Chungha proceeds with her new song activities as planned, it will mark her comeback after 1 year and 5 months, a significantly long hiatus. Her last official album was 'Bare&Rare Pt.1,' released in July 2022. Since then, Chungha has not released any new songs after her collaboration with Danish musician Christopher on 'When I Get Old' in October of the same year.
In the meantime, Chungha has changed her agency. Leaving MNH Entertainment, where she had been since her debut, Chungha signed an exclusive contract with More Vision in October last year. More Vision is a music label led by singer Jay Park. The upcoming comeback, featuring Chungha's first song under More Vision, is expected to garner significant attention.
Chungha debuted in the music industry in 2016 as a member of the project girl group I.O.I, which was formed through Mnet's 'Produce 101' Season 1. As a solo artist, Chungha has gained popularity with hits such as 'Roller Coaster,' 'Gotta Go,' 'Why Don’t You Know,' and 'Snapping.'
Finally! MNH Entertainment did a decent job promoting her for the first few years, but after Bicycle (whose album also had numerous delays and issues), things seemed to go downhill.
I hope More Vision treats her like the great artist she is.
