The charitable efforts of actress Son Ye Jin have recently come to light.
Last December, Son Ye Jin visited the Help Center for Infants in Need (Baby Box) in Gwanak-gu, Seoul, accompanied by MSteam Entertainment CEO Lee Hyuk Jin.
Jusarang Community's Help Center for Infants in Need is renowned for its Baby Boxes. These boxes provide refuge for babies who have been separated from the warmth of their parents' embrace.
During her visit, Son Ye Jin spent an impressive 2 hours and 30 minutes engaging with the babies sheltered in the baby boxes and having meaningful conversations with the dedicated volunteers. Subsequently, she made a noteworthy donation of 150 million KRW (~112,550 USD).
It has been reported that the donation will act as a financial resource for children in need of independence upon leaving the childcare center.
Yang Chang Soo, the manager of the center, expressed his surprise during a phone conversation with Newsen on January 31, stating, "We never anticipated that Son Ye Jin would personally visit. Her unexpected generosity was like a Christmas blessing, and we are sincerely grateful."
Manager Yang clarified, "Son Ye Jin preferred her donation to remain private. But we sought her understanding later and decided to make the announcement."
He continued, "Her warm-hearted actions, demonstrating sincerity by venturing into an area without government support, even on a remote and challenging path, are truly unforgettable."
These are the people I admire. God will bless her bountifully.
