Lim Ji Yeon and Choo Young Woo are set to star in the upcoming historical drama 'Tale of Mrs. Ok'.

According to reports on December 6, JTBC confirmed Lim Ji Yeon and Choo Young Woo as the leads of the new series. 'Tale of Mrs. Ok' follows the journey of survival and success of a female slave in the Joseon Dynasty who creates her own name and life.

Lim Ji Yeon is taking on the role of female attorney Ok Tae Young, who's loved by all for helping others but lives a double life, while Choo Young Woo is playing the role of Cheon Seung Hwi, who falls in love with Ok Tae Young and vows to protect her. 

The production team commented, "There are different stories in the world that can't be divided into right or wrong. 'Tale of Mrs. Ok' is a drama about people's stories like these. Look forward to the synergy between actors Lim Ji Yeon and Choo Young Woo, who'll add genuineness to the lives of Ok Tae Young and Cheon Seung Hwi, characters who had no choice but to live under another name."

Lim Ji Yeon is known for her role as the main villain in the hit drama 'The Glory', and Choo Young Woo most recently starred in the drama 'Oasis'.

'Tales of Mrs. Ok' is expected to premiere in 2024.
