JYP Entertainment's global audition project, 'Nizi Project' Season 2, has spawned the boy group NEXZ, whose final competition track 'Miracle' is enjoying immense popularity in Japan.
On December 18th at midnight, NEXZ released the 'Nizi Project' Season 2 final stage mission song 'Miracle' in both Korean and Japanese versions, along with performance videos.
The Japanese version's performance video surpassed 5 million views on YouTube by noon on the 20th, while the Korean version is also nearing 1 million views, garnering a hot response.
Written and composed by Park Jin-young, 'Miracle' draws inspiration from the growth of the contestants, their friendship blossoming on their journey toward a common dream, and the miraculous journey of NEXZ meeting the viewers through 'Nizi Project' Season 2.
Despite being a pre-debut release, 'Miracle' topped various local music charts in Japan on its release day, including the iTunes Comprehensive Ranking, Oricon Daily Digital Single Ranking, Rakuten Music Real-Time Ranking, and mu-mo Real-Time Download Ranking, proving its extraordinary buzz.
Prior to this, the last episode of 'Nizi Project' Season 2 aired on the 15th through JYP's official channel and the Japanese online video platform Hulu. The announcement of the final debut members and the team name 'NEXZ' dominated real-time trends on Japan's X (formerly Twitter), proving high interest.
NEXZ appeared as guests on Nippon TV's 'DayDay.' on the 18th, marking their first meeting with local viewers. Their fresh, rookie-like charm brought smiles to the audience, and they announced the broadcast of their first program 'MiracleZ.'
'MiracleZ,' drawing inspiration from the final song 'Miracle,' will feature interviews with the seven members reflecting on 'Nizi Project' Season 2, various talk segments, and exclusive content. It will premiere exclusively on Hulu on January 12th and air on CS channel Nittere Plus on the 14th.
NEXZ was born through 'Nizi Project' Season 2, a joint audition program presented by JYP and Sony Music, Japan's largest record label. JYP's representative producer and 'Nizi Project' judge, Park Jin-young, named the group 'NEXZ,' abbreviating 'Next Z(G)eneration.'
With the training system and expertise of JYP, which has launched numerous successful K-pop groups, NEXZ is expected to lead the next generation. Following the footsteps of NiziU, who gained syndrome-level popularity in Japan and recently debuted successfully in Korea with their single album 'Press Play,' NEXZ is anticipated to continue this impressive trend.
