Earlier this week, dancer Honey J uploaded a video from her life as new mother.
In the video, Honey J's daughter Love begins climbing over the baby rail guards set up on the floors while both parents are eating. Even while eating, the dad has an eye on the infant, and is able to jump into action to keep Love from hitting her head as she takes a fall.
Honey J wrote, "The superman I used to only see in memes is right before my eyes. The moment that made me realize the strength of a father TT. I feel so assured. Love got so big that she can easily climb over that thing now.. No more safety zones.. We're screwed kekekekekeke."
Although Honey J shared the video on her Instagram with the intention of thanking her husband for being a "superman" for their daughter, the video itself caused some mixed reactions, particularly some critical comments from "keyboard parents".
Some left comments on Honey J's Instagram such as, "Next time, make sure that your baby is safe before leaving her side", "You need to have the baby by your side even when you're eating. A second too late and she would have seriously injured her head", "It's so obvious that the baby is going to fall over, but she's still eating. And then when he catches her without a moment to spare, she praises him for being 'superman' kekekekeke. All of that could have been avoided if you had been more careful", etc.
Meanwhile, fellow dancer Aiki simply left an affectionate comment reading, "My kid climbed up on whatever she saw too... Right now she's sitting on my head."
However, many netizens soon came to Honey J's defense as well, directing criticism toward the "keyboard parents" instead:
"Can these holed up keyboard mothers-in-law just shut it..."
"I guarantee you those people leaving those comments on Honey J's Instagram do not have kids. They know absolutely nothing about raising a child."
"Since you all seem to be experts at baby-raising, how about you go to that house and watch that baby 24/7 yourself."
"That kind of thing happens to literally every single baby kekekeke. Do you expect parents to not leave their babies unattended even for 1 second? Anyways, Honey J's baby is so cute."
"In the end, the dad saved her with his quick reflexes. What's wrong with praising him for it?"
"People just need to shut up, who loves that baby more than those two?"
"What those people leaving critical comments don't know is that the same thing happened to them when they were infants kekekekeke."
"Those people who leave unnecessary comments thinking they know what's best kekekekeke. They are definitely single and have never had a baby before."
