On-site security at 'M! Countdown in France' has been accused of racism against Asians.
A viral video of security guards manhandling a fan at the 'M! Countdown in France' concert at the Paris La Defense Arena on October 15 has raised controversy over alleged racism at the event. The video shows a number of security guards forcing an Asian man on the ground and then escorting him out of the venue. Around 22,000 concertgoers attended the 'M! Countdown' event, and some are claiming the security guards were especially violent towards Asians.
Social media users are alleging security made Asian concertgoers open their bags and leave if they had a camera, which is against concert regulations, but white concertgoers were allegedly not given the same treatment. Online users stated they saw "a bunch of Asians being dragged out of the stadium simply because they had a camera inside their bags."
Staff members explained the man in the viral video was holding a professional long-range DSLR camera, while other fans were simply using their phones. They also alleged some of the fans were aggressive with the guards, and the man in question tried to hit security. One alleged member of the security team further claimed he still has bite and nail marks on his body due to concertgoers who were not cooperating.
Mnet stated, "Professional cameras are not allowed at the Paris La Defense Arena. We disclosed this on our official platforms... We're investigating whether security acted inappropriately while restraining concertgoers."

Why have I got a feeling there's more to this story?
- Fansites are known to be extreme, even paying bribes to get info for photos of their idols.
-- Notice how the video is edited so it starts only AFTER the cause.
Security staff can be heavy handed in general, but it also wouldn't be surprising to learn they did more than simply hold a camera.
