Chanel responded to official ambassador G-Dragon's drug controversy.

On October 26, luxury brand Chanel carefully expressed their position, stating, "We are aware of the issue concerning G-Dragon's case. However, we have no position to give at this time." The statement follows the news that G-Dragon was booked by the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency's crime investigation team on the charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act.

The BIGBANG member's appearances at Chanel events have been under scrutiny as some are speculating he may have been under the influence of drugs at the 'Chanel x Frieze Cocktail Reception' held in Gangnam this past September. The incident is expected to hurt Chanel's image as G-Dragon is known to regularly wear clothing from the brand. If his drug charges turn out to be true after a police investigation, it's expected he'll have to compensate for damages.

G-Dragon has been serving as the brand's first Asian ambassador since 2016.

Innocent until proven guilty... but not according to the public, as usual.
