MAMAMOO's Hwa Sa revealed the reason for partnering with Psy's P NATION.

On September 6, MBC's 'Radio Star' featured a special episode titled '2023 Radio Star Music Camp,' with guests including Koyote's Kim Jong Min and Bbaek Ga, John Park, Hwa Sa, and Hong Sung Min.

During the show, Hwa Sa explained the reason for signing an exclusive contract with Psy's agency, P NATION, where he serves as the leader. She mentioned, "There was an issue while MAMAMOO was on the North American tour." She referred to the controversy surrounding a provocative performance.

She continued, "I was feeling down because of all the negative comments, but one day, Psy reached out to me. He kept persuading me, although I initially refused. At that time, he sent me a new song, saying, 'It's good news. Give it a listen.' The song was titled 'I LOVE MY BODY.'"

Hwa Sa added, "I was thinking, 'Why is he sending me a song like this when I'm receiving criticism about my body?' But it made me burst into laughter. Instead of feeling down, it made me feel cheerful. I thought, 'Why do I like this song so much?' It turned out to be a song I needed."

Regarding the story behind signing the contract at Psy's summer brand concert, Hwa Sa explained, "I tend to be quite slow, and I couldn't stamp the contract until the day I was scheduled to perform at 'Psy Summer Swag.' So, I asked, 'Should we do it at the concert venue?' Then, Psy said, 'Let's do it on stage,' and that's how it happened."
