Cobweb is a period dark comedy-drama film directed by Kim Jee-woon starring Song Kang-ho, Im Soo-jung, Oh Jung-se, Jeon Yeo-been, and Krystal Jung. It is scheduled to be released theatrically on September 27, 2023. There is much anticipation for the film, and the anticipation only builds. Earlier today the VIP Premiere for Cobweb was held at COEX in Gangnam, Seoul and Jessica was in attendance.

Many people were surprised to see her as it had been a long while since her last appearance in Korea. Her fresh and youthful appearance gathered a lot of attention from the media. People praised her visuals; one article even called her the visual center of girl groups.

Longtime fans were pleasantly surprised to see her attend the event, and many said that she was there to support her sister, Krystal, who has a major role in the movie. Krystal is playing the role of Han Yu-rim, a rising star in the industry. Krystal described her character as a modern woman, who says everything she wants to say and has everything she wants, yet also takes responsibility. 

Earlier this year, the "Cobweb" cast made a notable appearance at the esteemed Cannes Film Festival, successfully creating a buzz that reverberated through the event. Krystal was particularly in the spotlight, dazzling attendees and stealing the show with her meticulously chosen attire that stood out as the talk of the night.

In a subsequent interview, Krystal unveiled that the mastermind behind her striking ensemble was none other than her sister, Jessica. This heartwarming sisterly collaboration not only epitomized the deep bond they share but also showcased Jessica embracing her role as the supportive older sibling.

As Krystal graced the premiere of her movie, the involvement of her sister in such a pivotal moment painted a touching picture of their close-knit relationship, leaving fans both moved and in admiration of the sisters' unbreakable bond.

Many articles of Jessica's appearance were posted as this was the first time in a very long time where she attended an event in Korea. In the past two years Jessica has mainly been focusing on activities in China, so fans and netizens were excited to see her in Korea after so long.

While many fans were happy some were soon upset to find out that many articles about her appearance had been deleted or failed to load when opened. Some brought up her blacklist in Korean media as a reason as to why the articles were no longer available to view.

Earlier this year while Exo's CBX were having their legal battle with SM entertainment, fans talked about what happens to idols who leave SM on bad terms. Jessica's departure and the blacklist in Korea following their departure became a hot topic.

After Jessica's removal from Girls Generation, many fans suspected she was blacklisted due to many of her radio shows and music show appearances being canceled. Since then, her appearance in K-media has been sparse. Many people even suspect that she is active in China as she has more freedom there. From participating in survival shows to music festivals. Fans are grateful that Jessica can shine there without interference.
