On online forums and social media, fans and netizens are discussing the possibility that the Seventeen member is dating a model. The speculations are based on alleged couple items worn by Joshua and the female model around the same time frames. 

Additionally, social media posts claim that the two have gone on dates and have shared 'Lovestagrams' together. According to the social media post, Joshua has allegedly gone on a date with his 'girlfriend' on Christmas "instead of interacting on Weverse" and that a video including Joshua's voice was uploaded on her birthday.

Although some netizens are also 'laughing it off,' after having seen so many couple item and Lovestagram accusations, others are arguing that the issue is "not because Joshua could have a girlfriend like a normal person" but that he could "indirectly show it off to his fans," a controversial topic in the K-pop industry.

Posts containing these alleged evidence include captions such as: "Joshua, were you in the arms of another girl while I couldn't sleep because of you?,"  "I'm so livid right now after seeing the couple items.
