Rowoon and Jo Yi Hyun will be starring together in the new historical drama 'Wedding Battle'.
'Wedding Battle' is a comedy romance set against the backdrop of the Joseon dynasty, and the story will follow young widow Jung Soon Deok (Jo Yi Hyun) and widower Shim Jung Woo (Rowoon) as they work together to marry off 4 young maidens of Joseon. Rowoon is taking on the role of brilliant civil servant Shim Jung Woo, who runs into misfortune when a princess passes away, and Jo Yi Hyun is playing Jung Soon Deok, who's the daughter-in-law of a noble family as well as the best matchmaker in Hanyang City.
The KBS drama's producers stated, "Rowoon and Jo Yi Hyun are trending actors of 2023, and they'll be working together as the lead characters of 'Wedding Battle'. The perfect and unique chemistry between Rowoon and Jo Yi Hyun will show through 'Wedding Battle' and bring excitement and fun to anyone regardless of age or gender."

Ok, going to be conflicted on this one, I hate these soppy, daft, rom-coms, but Rowoon is a really good actor and looks magnificent on screen. He's so tall! Yeah, I'm a bit shallow when it comes to him, lol.

I expect I'll do what I normally do in this situation, check out the first episode and bale out after that - although I did watch The Law Cafe to the end (fast forwarding in places) so there's hope. It depends how silly it gets.
