On June 13 KST, Netflix Korea unveiled a teaser poster for its new romance reality program '19/20', starring 19-year olds.
'19/20' will be produced by Kim Jae Won PD of 'Single's Inferno' and takes place in the format of a documentary reality. A group of teens born in 2004 will be enrolled in 'Nineteen School' for one week leading up to January 1, 2023, attending special classes on how to become adults while making memories together.
After January 1, the cast members will interact as 20-year olds, or legal adults, while living in 'Twenty House' for one week.
Although there isn't much information about the program for now, some netizens speculated:
"It'll just be a cast full of aspiring SNS influencers/actors/trainees."
"They probably just cast acting trainees to play the parts."
"I doubt it'll be super realistic... Instead of them being actual ordinary people, the cast members will be mostly acting or idol trainees."
"They should really stop calling these 'realities'. We all know they're scripted."
"It might be cute to watch 19-year olds kekekeke."
"A reality? More like a scripted drama..."
"Even from the poster, you can tell that those high schoolers aren't ordinary high schoolers."
"They're all just trying to gain fame and experience before actually debuting as actors or starting out as influencers."
"It's totally scripted... not watching."
Meanwhile, '19/20' will premiere on Netflix on July 11. A teaser trailer is currently available on the Netflix app.
The poster already looks like the starting of a typical rom com highschool kdrama lol so yea it’s totally going to be scripted
