In a June 2 interview, acclaimed actress Lee Nayoung shared insights from her recent guest appearance on the May 22 episode of BTS' SUGA's YouTube show, 'Suchwita.' This marked her first variety show appearance in 11 years, sparking curiosity about her experience meeting SUGA and her decision to join the show.
Lee Nayoung, who recently portrayed 'Park Ha-kyung' in the drama "One Day Off," released on the 24th of the previous month, reminisced about her role. Set in the 1990s, Park Ha-Kyung is a Korean literature teacher at a high school. In an attempt to break free from the monotony, Park Ha-Kyung embarks on one-day trips every Saturday, exploring diverse locales, trying various cuisines, and encountering different individuals. She finds comfort and empathy in these travels, highlighting the subtle joys of life.
Lee Nayoung talked about her choice to appear on "Suchwita," stating, "The timing felt perfect. I was intrigued by SUGA's newly released documentary, 'SUGA: Road to D-Day,' which revolved around his travels to various countries. I have always been an avid traveler myself. Moreover, during my filming last year, I stumbled upon SUGA's song 'People,' which deeply resonated with me. The lyrics such as 'soaks into my heart,' 'brushing past,' and 'everything is just a happening that passes by' truly struck a chord. I believed that conversing with an individual with such profound thoughts would be an engaging experience."
Reflecting on her interaction with SUGA, she added, "Our conversation was filled with moments of shared understanding and parallels with my own experiences. Despite this being our first encounter, there was no discomfort. Even though I was sharing a room with SUGA, it felt as though I was conversing with 'Human Min Yoon-gi.'" She expressed her gratitude towards him, praising his skills as a host and for sharing his personal stories, which helped ease her nerves.
Lee Nayoung also mentioned that SUGA extended an invitation to her for his forthcoming concert in Seoul.

I watched the whole episode and it was so heartfelt and entertaining, it felt like watching two friends having a conversation, at times it was hilarious and on others it was relatable. No wonder she chose his show after 11 years of being absent from variety shows, she connected with him through his music and saw how well he received previous actors on the show wherein they are very comfortable.
