Shotaro has written a letter for his fans.

On May 24 KST, Shotaro took to Instagram to share a heartwarming letter for his fans following the new of his departure from NCT along with fellow member Sungchan. SM Entertainment announced the news officially that the two members will join a brand new boy group.

In the letter, Shotaro wrote:

"Hello, this is Shotaro.

I think you might have been really shocked by the video today.

First of all, I wanted to thank all the fans for cheering me on thus far.

What gave me the biggest strength while promoting as NCT was the existence of you, the fans, itself.

I was so happy, because you always gave me love and support for all my activities, including the music programs, contents, and performances!

And, there were fans who told me that they were able to trudge forward and were grateful for my existence, but whenever I hear those words, I gained even more strength.

Thank you so much.

Every moment with my fans was a good memory.

Thank you for having watched me promote with such a warm gaze!

And, I want to let you know that I thank all my (NCT) members for treasuring me like family ever since I entered the group.

I respect the members who showed their best sides when working and in general, and I am so honored and grateful that I was able to promote in such a precious team as NCT.

I think I have gained the energy to become an artist in front of you all after learning so much from the NCT promotions. I will try my best.

I will return 'soon' with even better sides of me, so please wait just a little bit more!!"

On community sites, netizens shared how Shotaro's words have already "warmed the fans' hearts" and that, "judging by the way he writes, he will succeed no matter what," for his warmth and conscientiousness.
