Kim Taehyung, aka V of BTS, sent social media into a frenzy with his bold new look.

On May 31, Taehyung departed from South Korea's Incheon International Airport to an undisclosed location for an overseas filming schedule, despite having returned to the country just four days prior from France.

Taehyung astonished everyone with a striking new look: he had dyed his hair ash blonde. Having embraced his natural black hair color for so long, this sudden transformation caught everyone off guard, but it was met with excitement.

Taehyung went for a cool and comfortable look at the airport. He was dressed in a blue sweater, white pants, a crocheted bucket hat, and accessories.

His face was completely hidden by his mask, while his ash-blonde hair peeked out from under his hat, despite his attempts to cover it.

Hours before Dispatch released their exclusive airport video, Taehyung teased fans about his new hair color by sharing a photo of it with his face turned away on his Instagram story.

Taehyung's pretty blonde hair sparked speculations that his debut solo album is imminent. Words like "Blonde Taehyung" and "KTH1 is coming" trended on social media. 

Fans were also excited for the hair transformation, as it was reminiscent of his 'DNA' era days. As a result, past photos and videos of Taehyung with blonde hair have resurfaced and gone viral.
