'The Promise’s CEO thanks Stray Kids’ Changbin and Hyunjin for their donations

On February 17, the CEO of the non-profit organization 'The Promise,' Kim Donghun, took to Facebook to thank the two Stray Kids’ members, Changbin and Hyunjin, for their generous donations and for choosing their small organization. Recently both idols made a donation of 100 Million KRW ($77,500) to 'The Promise' in order to help victims of the Turkey-Syria earthquakes.

"200 million KRW?? Again, how much?"
"By who?"
"Hyunjin and Changbin of Stray Kids"
"What? Stress, who?"

“Ah, I'm really sorry.
A typical gen-x aged me had no idea who Stray Kids were. TTTT
Hyunjin and Changbin of jyp's idol group Stray Kids each donated 100 million won to our "The Promise." It’s a donation drive for relief efforts in both Turkey and Syria.

After receiving their intention to donate, I instantly slumped on the ground.
For two weeks after the earthquake, saying "please help" has been a daily occurrence for us, when this large amount of donations unexpectedly came in.
Artists generally donate to big, well-known organizations, so after over 20 years of conducting non-profit activities,
I've long given up on having expectations from artists.”

Donghun wrote on Facebook, talking about how unexpected it had been to receive a donation from two artists.

“No matter how capable we are, small organizations are often unheard of not only by artists but also by the general public. And yet, we were chosen, so I'm really thankful.
Thanks to the donations made by Hyunjin and Changbin, the scale of our relief assistance has greatly expanded, and the detailed operations planned so far have to be changed as there are more things than can now be done.”

He continued, thanking the artist for their touching gesture.

Our team in Istanbul is going to the earthquake site this morning, and I am leaving Incheon Airport tomorrow.
The first five aid workers will be active, and local partner agencies and the volunteers will be joined.
With the donation of Changbin and Hyun-jin, the scale of the relief project has grown significantly, and the detailed operations planned so far have no choice but to change again.”

He finished his post, talking about how much their donation had helped them with the cause.

I wish the best for The Promise, and it's wonderful that Stray Kids members Changbin and Hyunjin donated to help the victims of this earthquake.

I can’t believe there are so many downvotes for this. No matter what your personal feelings about the artists or your suspicions of their motives, the money they gave is going to save people’s lives. This is a GOOD THING.
