Seungri's court records after his prison release have revealed some shocking charges.
The former Big Bang member was officially released from prison yesterday after serving a year and a half in prison for 9 charges, including solicitation of prostitution, embezzlement, violation of sexual violence laws (illegal filming of sexual content), habitual gambling, and more, which centered around him as a key figure in the 2018 Burning Sun club scandal.
On February 10, JTBC News revealed additional information from Seungri's court records that are shocking netizens. According to reports, Seungri picked up investors from Japan in December of 2015 from the airport, and escorts would follow them to a hotel, where they provided sexual services to the investors. It's said Seungri was involved in setting up these services for investors from Japan, Hong Kong, and Taiwan on 29 occasions, and he reportedly admitted in court the total expenses amounted to 43 million won (33,919.98 USD). Though Seungri's lawyer denied the charges at first, the court found he had been informed of the details by staff and was present at the locations where the sexual services took place.
In addition, Seungri is also reported to have filmed women illegally, following Big Bang's fan meeting tour in China in June of 2016. At the end of the tour, he's said to have filmed 3 Chinese women in bed naked and uploaded the media to a KakaoTalk group chat. The court found Seungri had filmed the women illegally himself.
