A week ago, 'The Astronaut' debuted at #51 on the Hot 100 chart, which is the highest debut for a K-pop solo song this decade (since PSY in 2013). It also had the biggest debuting sales on Billboard 200 for a K-pop soloist. The song had 62,000 sales, setting a new record.

The USA is the biggest music market in the world, and Jin is still charting on the Billboard charts for the second week, which is unusual for Korean soloists' releases. He is still #1 on Billboard's World Digital Songs Sales chart too.

Jin sold over 700,000 albums in a single day in Korea. He has the highest first-week sales for a single album. Many fans are complaining about the lack of professionalism that Hybe demonstrated with the shipping dates of Jin's album. The first week had no shipping at all, and only on November 6, it reached the Japanese audience, which keep selling out the restocked albums in all stores. The USA and European shipping will not start until December 2, which is very unprofessional. Jin would be able to become a million-seller in a day if the shipping was not delayed. Hybe is getting criticized for such inconvenience. Some retailers also say that Hybe did not print enough albums and sent less than they required.
