OMEGA X member Taedong's older sister revealed that Taedong had also suffered abuse from his previous company 2Y Entertainment.
During OMEGA X's recent press conference, where they revealed the reasons for their contract termination with Spire Entertainment, the members exposed their now-resigned CEO Kang Seong Hee for habitual abuse. Here, Taedong stated, "All companies are not like this, but I think many trainees and currently promoting idols are receiving unfair treatment. For my case, in my previous company they made me practice for 15 hours to 17 hours without a single day of rest. In addition to forcefully taking away our cellphones, I received unfair treatment. They asked us to tell them our passwords, and they would go into each individual member's phone to check the contents and watch over us."
Posting a screenshot of the article revealing Taedong's statement, his older sister wrote on her Instagram story, "Another thing that Taedong couldn't say because he cried is that when he was under 2Y [Entertainment], his cellphone was forcefully taken away and he couldn't even keep in contact with his family members. In addition to changing his phone number, they would figure out his password and check his phone. Without a day of rest, the kids would be forced to practice for 15 to 17 hours a day. Even when our grandfather passed away, we couldn't reach [Taedong] so I direct messaged him through Instagram to let him know of our grandfather's death. Taedong belatedly found out [of his death] and he couldn't even stay by his side and could only send his condolences. I am extremely angry that the CEO of 2Y Entertainment, who slapped and verbally abused [Taedong], is so quiet right now, acting as if this is not about him."
Following his appearance on Mnet's survival show 'Produce 101 Season 2', Taedong was supposed to debut as a member of JBJ, but ran into conflicts with Major9 Entertainment. He then went back to trainee status under 2Y Entertainment and debuted as a member of GIDONGDAE, before debuting again with OMEGA X.
Three companies abused him but he never gave up
