According to media outlet reports on November 15, CJ ENM has yet to come to a settlement with 'Coca-Cola Korea', one of the largest sponsors of Mnet's 'Street Man Fighter', for the advertisement mistake which occurred during the competition show's final broadcast.
Last week on the November 8 broadcast of Mnet's 'Street Man Fighter', MC Kang Daniel came under fire for naming the wrong sponsoring beverage brand on a live broadcast. Although the sponsoring brand of 'Street Man Fighter' was 'Seagram', a brand under 'Coca-Cola', Kang Daniel gave a shoutout to its competitor 'TREVI', a brand under 'Lotte Chilsung'.
Soon afterward, Mnet edited out Kang Daniel's comment from all recorded versions of the final episode of 'Street Man Fighter', and Kang Daniel also relayed his apology via his label Konnect Entertainment.
However, according to recent media outlet reports, the issue caused by Kang Daniel's error has yet to be resolved, approximately a week later. Some reports claimed that 'Coca-Cola Korea' has asked CJ ENM to compensate for damages, while other sources have stated that the two sides are still working out an agreeable settlement.
Akp always a day late and a dollar short. It's been reported in SK news that Coca-Cola never demanded compensation from him and were never going to.
