BTS member J-Hope is breaking records left and right with his solo album!
After releasing his highly-anticipated solo album, 'Jack In The Box,' J-Hope debuted at #8 on Spotify's 'Global Top Artists' chart, the highest rank a Korean solo artist has achieved on the chart. The idol also joined BTS as the only K-Pop act to ever enter the top 10 of the said chart. Furthermore, J-Hope remained in the top 30 of the daily chart, ranking at #28.
According to Spotify, J-Hope's solo debut album 'Jack In The Box,' which has ten tracks, accumulated a total of 19,669,487 streams on Spotify on its first day, becoming the second-biggest debut album released in 2022 in first-day streams by a K-Pop act, just behind J-Hope's own group's album 'Proof.' In addition, 'Jack In The Box' earned the biggest debut for an album by a Korean solo artist in Spotify history.
In particular, the album's title song, "Arson," recorded over 3.8 million streams on the first day, the second most-streamed track from J-Hope's album, following the pre-release single "MORE," which had over 5.4 million first-day streams on Spotify.
Meanwhile, all tracks from 'Jack In The Box' debuted on Spotify's 'Global Chart Top 100', with "MORE" as the highest-charting song at #13 (updated on the album's release date, July 16).
