Since 2020, there have been talks that YG Entertainment is preparing to release a new girl group called 'Baby Monster.'
There has been much anticipation as netizens found hints about the new upcoming YG girl group, and the CEO of YG Foods brought further excitement by saying that Baby Monster is no joke and the members "are like 10 Jennies."
Additionally, YG Entertainment has announced through its annual financial reports that it is preparing to launch a new girl group in 2023. However, the anticipation is decreasing as the schedule for the debut is being delayed.
One netizen shared the schedule chart for the YG artists that are lined up for promotion, along with the contract renewing schedule for each group.
According to the chart that was shared, the new girl group is scheduled to debut in June 2022, with the contract expiring in 2029. However, netizens are not expecting the girl group to debut in June since there has not been any news of the group's debut.
Korean netizens gathered in an online community to share their thoughts, and many are saying that YG Entertainment definitely will NOT be debuting a new girl group in June.
Netizens commented, "The group will definitely not debut this June. It's already next month but even the other artists' comebacks are delayed," "It's time the group debuts," "I wonder when they will release the girl group," "So, WINNER, BLACKPINK, and the new girl group are supposed to make comeback and debut? that makes no sense," "So the new group will debut in June?" "June is next month, when will they release the group?" "I wish they can come out soon," "I definitely don't think they would be released next month," and "Next month is impossible."
It's too soon after Nmixx and Le Sserafim's debuts anyway. Let the dust settle on them a bit and do BlackPink's comeback first. Having them debut in August during the summer holidays would be good timing. Their debut song might become the song of the summer.
