BIGBANG prove their popularity in South Korea day after day. The members have made tremendous contributions to the music business throughout the years, and as a result, the group has amassed a large following of fans and the public. Even after 16 years in the industry and long hiatus, their song's impact on the Korean public is still strong as ever.
Recently on May 7th, after a baseball game between Samsung Lions vs. Lotte Giants at Sajik Baseball Stadium ended, the crowd started chanting 'encore' for the staff to start playing BIGBANG music, as their music is widely popular in sports events in Korea, and regularly played, before, during and after sports events. The staff started playing "Bang Bang Bang," which stopped many of the crowd from leaving, and everyone went back to their seats and start dancing and enjoying the song as if BIGBANG was there doing an encore themselves.
Not only "Bang Bang Bang," but many hits from the group and the solo started playing, and people enjoyed their time as they were at a BIGBANG concert. And it's not the first time, throughout the years of their hiatus, BIGBANG songs were played heavily at sporting events.
There's just something about live audiences and Big Bang that just go hand in hand.
