BLACKPINK’s Jennie and Jisoo have extended their support to wildfire recovery efforts in Ulsan, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam, making generous donations to aid those affected.

On March 27, Jennie donated 100 million KRW (~68,138 USD) through the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association. Expressing her sympathy for the victims, Jennie stated, “I was heartbroken to hear that so many people are struggling due to the sudden wildfire. Though it may be a small gesture, I wanted to offer some comfort and support.” She added, “I sincerely hope everyone can safely return to their daily lives and welcome a warm spring.”

Jennie’s donation will go toward essential relief efforts, including emergency living support, provision of relief supplies, and operation of temporary shelters for affected residents.

Meanwhile, Jennie is currently experiencing global success with her first full-length solo album 'Ruby,' released on March 7. Showcasing her diverse musical talents, 'Ruby' features 15 tracks spanning various genres, highlighting her artistic versatility. The title track, "Like Jennie," debuted at No. 83 on the Billboard Hot 100, while the album itself secured the No. 7 spot on the Billboard 200 chart. Additionally, "Handlebar" (feat. Dua Lipa) and "ExtraL" (feat. Doechii) charted alongside Like Jennie, making Jennie the first K-pop female solo artist to simultaneously place three songs on the Billboard Hot 100.

Furthermore, 'Ruby' recorded the highest first-week sales for a female K-pop solo artist this year, with 661,130 copies sold.

On March 28, Jisoo also contributed 150 million KRW (~102,208 USD) to wildfire relief efforts through the Korean Red Cross.

Through her agency, BLISSOO, Jisoo shared, “I hope this donation can provide some strength to the firefighters working tirelessly and to all those affected by the wildfires. It is heartbreaking to see beautiful forests turn to ashes in an instant, and I sincerely wish for the restoration of the damaged lands.”

Jisoo has consistently used her platform for good, previously donating all proceeds from her personal YouTube channel to Save the Children, an international children’s rights NGO. She continues her philanthropic efforts by extending her support to wildfire victims.

Last month, Jisoo successfully released her new mini-album 'AMORTAGE,' achieving strong global chart performance with the title track "Earthquake." She is currently on her 2025 fan meeting tour, 'Lights, Love, Action!,' visiting seven cities across Asia, including Manila, Bangkok, Tokyo, Macau, Taipei, Hong Kong, and Hanoi.

Jisoo has also been making strides in acting. She recently captivated audiences in Coupang Play’s Newtopia as the character Youngjoo. She is set to appear in the upcoming July release 'Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint' and the Netflix series 'Boyfriend on Demand' (working title), continuing her expansion in the entertainment industry.
