IU shared her warmth on South Korea's National Children's Day.
According to News 1 on May 5, IU donated 100 million KRW (~ $78,767 USD) to the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation on Children's Day.
The donation from IU will be used to support living expenses for low-income single-parent families, children raised by grandparents, and facility renovation supporting children.
Since her debut, IU, who has been doing her good deeds steadily, has been donating every year since 2015 to children in need, especially on Children's Day. This year, as she celebrates the 100th anniversary of Children's Day, she shared her warmth with more meaningful good deeds.
In addition to this donation, IU has been selected as an icon of good deeds since her debut in 2008, as she has consistently donated to those in need, social disasters caused by COVID-19, floods and forest fires, and low-income families.
IU has been focusing on her activities as an actress recently. She has finished filming for the movie 'Dream' and is about to attend the 'Cannes Film Festival' through 'The Broker' directed by Hirokazu Koreeda.
Still a gem. Love her.
